Rainbow Quilt Finished at Last

One of my goals for 2006 has been to complete a baby quilt for charity. Well, I am so thrilled to announce that it is finished! Rather than rewrite or paste my post from a hobby blog called 25 Things for Charity, just check it out here. I'd love your feedback and suggestions for a design for my next baby quilt. It'll be for a boy since this one was for a girl. (Please be kind; I am a quilting newbie:]).

You did a wonderful job!! I am totally jealous, I started a quilt when Allison was born and she's almost 16 (that's years, not months). You have inspired me to try some new craft, maybe I'll finish one of the many needlepoints I have started over the years.

Thank you, friends. If I have inspired anyone, that's a bonus to me. I am slow; I worked on this one , which is only 30x30 finished, from probably November to just now, using mostly Katrina Kit scraps. Knowing I'm both slow and impatient, I need projects I can start and finish in a relatively short time, and the urgency of knowing this quilt may be not just a source of warmth but hope is very motivational to me. I am already planning my next one. Anyone want to have "quilt days" over here this summer? We could start with a rotary cutting session.

I told you this already over at "25 Things", but your quilt looks great, Zo.
I hope you'll have a happy July. I'll be offline for about a month - we're switching Internet providers and it may take up to a month before we get hooked up. I'll miss you! Happy Summer!
Love from your friend in France! And thank you for all the caring comments on my blog.

Beth, would that be "crafty" as in cunning and deceitful, or as in able to do crafts? :)-

Isabelle, I might get the DTs (delirium tremors) without being able to visit new stuff on your blog or "hear" your voice in my comment box. I so appreciate your email, too. You are a breath of fresh air to my soul via the Inbox!
I can only imagine how much sewing and stitching you'll accomplish without the Internet as a pleasant distraction. Look what you do without TV. I'm utterly amazed. God bless you, my friend, and please know that I am working on your overdue b'day gifties at my ever-so-slow pace. YOu're a blessing in my life. Don't forget it.

Oh dear Zo... I was inspired to come back to this comment box. But you are making me blush right now. I'll miss you too!
God bless you and your family. You are a blessing in my life too!
I hope I can make some "gifties" in late July. My little nephew is due in November! I have so many ideas for him... I can so empathize with your happiness at your niece's giving birth!

Sending lots and lots of love.
