Goodwill Hat

I took Joel with me the other day to run a bunch of errands. One stop was at Goodwill, where I was looking for cheap clothes to make my birthday costume. (I almost said birthday suit. Horrible image, even for the artist Rubens, I'm sure.)

Joel began tooling around on a ride-on toy while I tried on first one hat and then another. Finally I topped my head with a grey tweed derby.

"Hey, Joel, what do you think of this hat?" I asked him.

He pursed his lips, wrinkled his nose, and declared his opinion: "I think it looks like a Goodwill hat."
